Dr. Purva Mujumdar is an accomplished structural engineer and academician with extensive experience in civil engineering, construction management, and design optimization. She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the School of Art and Architecture, Sushant University. Her career spans across academia and industry, having held roles as a Visiting Faculty at NorthCap University and Sushant University, as well as working as a Structural Engineer at reputed firms including Mott MacDonald, Ramboll India, and C.E. Anderson and Associates (USA). Additionally, she contributed to research as a Project Associate and Doctoral Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), working on automation of design iteration in construction projects.

Dr. Mujumdar’s contributions to construction management and structural engineering have earned her notable recognition. In 2024, she was awarded the Young Woman Researcher in Construction Management by Venus International Women Awards (VIWA 2024). Her work has been extensively published in international journals, covering topics such as design iteration in construction projects, BIM (Building Information Modeling), and structural optimization.

Her industrial expertise includes working on national highway projects for the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), focusing on the analysis and design of bridges, culverts, and road infrastructure as well as on residential, commercial and industrial buildings in building sector..

She has authored several journal papers and book chapters, collaborating with experts in construction engineering. She is also an active member of prestigious engineering bodies such as the American Society for Civil Engineers (ASCE) and India BIM Association (IBIMA)
