Prof. Dittakavi Ramachandran is a renowned academician and researcher in the field of Chemistry, currently serving as Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Acharya Nagarjuna University (A.N.U.), India. With over three decades of academic experience, he has made significant contributions to teaching, research, and scientific innovation.
His teaching journey began as a Teaching Associate (1994–2006), followed by his tenure as Assistant Professor (2006–2014) and Associate Professor (2014–2021) at A.N.U. Since October 2021, he has been serving as Professor of Chemistry, mentoring students and advancing cutting-edge research.
Research Expertise & Guidance
Prof. Ramachandran earned his Ph.D. under the mentorship of Prof. G.K. Raman, S.V. University, Tirupati, specializing in thermodynamic and transport properties of liquid mixtures. Over the years, he has guided and mentored 54 Ph.D. scholars and 15 M.Phil. scholars (with 7 Ph.D. candidates currently working under his supervision).
His research spans diverse areas including ultrasonics, analytical estimations, organic synthesis, pharmaceutical chemistry, and environmental pollution studies.
