DR. HARISHA C. RUDRAPPA WON NOBEL SCIENTIST AWARD IN THE FIELD OF PHARMACOGNOSY


Dr. Harisha C. Rudrappa is a distinguished scientist and academician with 27 years of teaching experience and an extensive research background in Pharmacognosy, Taxonomy, Medicinal Plant Cultivation, and Phytochemistry. He currently serves as the Head of Pharmacognosy at ITRA, Gujarat Ayurveda University, Jamnagar, India. His expertise spans both theoretical and practical teaching for postgraduate scholars in Ayurvedic Medicine (M.D./Ph.D.), M.Pharm (Ayu), and M.Sc. (Medicinal Plants).

Significant Achievements

Dr. Rudrappa has made remarkable contributions to research and academia, with an outstanding 563 research publications and four books and monographs to his credit. He has guided 12 Ph.D. scholars (with three ongoing), co-guided seven Ph.D. scholars (with five ongoing), and supervised numerous M.Pharma and M.Sc. theses. His excellence in research has been recognized with multiple prestigious awards, including:
