Dr. Ravi Sankara Reddy Dontireddy is a highly accomplished academician with 19 years of teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.
He began his teaching career in 2004 as a Lecturer in pharmacy institutions and later joined Acharya Nagarjuna University in 2009, where he has since been dedicated to teaching B. Pharm and M. Pharm students. In addition to classroom teaching, he is actively involved in guiding Ph.D., M. Pharm, and B. Pharm students in their research and project work.
Research Contributions & Projects
Dr. Reddy earned his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2014) under the guidance of Prof. D. Srinivasa Rao. His research expertise lies in drug discovery, molecular docking, and in-silico/in-vivo pharmacological studies.
He is currently the Principal Investigator of two funded research projects:

In-silico and In-vivo estimation of anti-diabetic activity of 1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives by inhibiting Alpha-Amylase enzyme (Seed Money Grant, ANU – ₹2,00,000, 2023–2025)

Screening and treatment methodology for the estimation of Dengue (DENV) using silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) (RUSA 2.0 – ANU, ₹10,00,000, 2024–2026)
He has also filed a patent on A method for isolating Glycyrrhizic Acid (Gla) from Glycyrrhiza glabra (Application No. 202341067341A, published July 2024).
His research outputs include 33 research/review paper presentations, 50 seminars/conferences attended, and contributions as a co-author of book chapters in reputed publications.

Dr. Reddy has authored research articles, review papers, and book chapters, with significant contributions to the field of molecular docking, drug discovery, and thiadiazole derivatives. His book chapter “Design, Molecular Docking, Synthesis, Characterization and In-Vitro studies of 2,5-disubstituted 1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives” was published in Frontiers in Plant Microbial Research (Immortal Publications, 2023).
