Dr. Rakesh Pandey is a distinguished academician and researcher with nearly two decades of teaching and research experience in mathematics, computational linguistics, and applied sciences. He began his professional career as a Junior Research Fellow at Kumaun University, Almora (2005–2006) under CSIR sponsorship. Over the years, he has served in multiple prestigious institutions including SSJ Campus, Kumaun University Almora, Govt. P.G. College Someshwar, Govt. P.G. College Ranikhet, and Amrapali Institute of Technology and Sciences, Haldwani.

Currently he is associated with HSB government Post Graduate College, Someshwr (Almora) since 2019, here he is holding the position of Head of department of Mathematics, Coordinator IQAC and In-Charge examination. 

In the period from 2012 to 2019, he was associated with The ICFAI University, Dehradun

He has also successfully supervised two Ph.D. theses and is currently guiding two more doctoral scholars in the areas of graph theory, inventory management, and optimization problems.
