Dr. Gaurang Mathukiya began his veterinary career as an Intern Veterinarian at the Government Veterinary Polyclinic, Rajkot, where he gained hands-on experience in managing clinical cases and participating in surgical, medicinal, and gynecological camps. Since September 2023, he has been serving as a Junior Animal Nutritionist at Greens Zoological Rescue & Rehabilitation Center, Jamnagar, Gujarat. In this role, he specializes in formulating diets for various zoo, domestic, and companion animals at different physiological stages, including maintenance, growth, and production.
Significant Achievements
- Received an appreciation certificate for his consistent performance in the Lumpy Skin Disease Control Program initiated by Jamnagar Municipal Corporation.
- Awarded the Best Thesis Award by GNFSU, HARWS, and IIMTU during the 1st International Agriculture Conference (December 2023).
- Honored with the Best Research Scholar Award by SKUAST, VITAL BIOTECH, and AFTEFS at the International Conference held in October 2024.

Dr. Mathukiya has contributed significantly to research in animal nutrition and rumen fermentation. His postgraduate thesis focused on the effect of direct-fed microbials and solid-state fermented biomass on digestibility and rumen fermentation in Surti buffaloes, advancing knowledge in the field of animal nutrition.
