Dr. Debnath Bhattacharyya is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at KL University, Bachupally Campus, Hyderabad, India. He also serves as an Invited International Professor at Lincoln University, KL, Malaysia, and is a Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, and UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Previously, he was a Foreign Professor in the Department of Multimedia Engineering at Hannam University, South Korea.

Dr. Bhattacharyya earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Calcutta, Kolkata, and his M.Tech in the same field from the West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata.

  • Published 285 Scopus-indexed and 156 Web of Science-indexed research papers.
  • Authored 6 textbooks in Computer Science and Engineering.
  • Organized two annual international conferences through Springer: SMARTDSC and ICMISC.

Dr. Bhattacharyya’s research spans Security Engineering, Pattern Recognition, Biometric Authentication, Multimodal Biometric Systems, Data Mining, and Image Processing. His work in image recognition and banking system applications using data science has led to impactful innovations, including projects such as the Shrimp Counting System for AquaExchange and Recognition Systems using Pattern Recognition.

As a Senior Member of IEEE, ACM, IACSIT, and IAENG, and a Life Member of CSI and IUPRAI, he actively contributes to the advancement of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity research.
