PROF. DATTA NALLE WON NOBEL RESEARCH AWARD IN THE FIELD OF AQUACULTURE


Prof. Datta Ashok Nalle is a distinguished figure in fishery science, recognized for his expertise in probiotics and mineral supplementation in aquaculture. With a B.Sc. in Zoology and Fishery Science from SRTMU, Nanded, and an M.Sc. in Fishery Science from CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, where he was awarded the ICAR JRF, Prof. Nalle is currently pursuing a Ph.D. focused on probiotic bacterial supplementation as a growth promoter and immunomodulator in aquaculture.

Research and Teaching

Prof. Nalle’s research emphasizes the impact of probiotics, minerals, and biofertilizers on the growth of euryhaline fish species in saline groundwater, a central theme of his M.Sc. thesis. As a mentor, he has guided over 20 undergraduate and 11 postgraduate students and contributed as a co-guide to another, deeply influencing future aquaculture professionals.
