Dr. G. Yoganandham is a highly accomplished economist and academician specializing in development and welfare economics, with 29 years of teaching and 28 years of research experience. He holds advanced degrees in Economics, including a Ph.D., Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF), and a D.Litt (Honoris Causa). He completed his postgraduate and doctoral studies at Loyola College and University of Madras, Chennai.

Currently serving as Professor & Head of the Department of Economics at Thiruvalluvar University (A State University of Government of Tamil Nadu), Dr. Yoganandham is also the Director of the Centre for Knowledge and has served as the University Hostels Chief Warden.
