DR. INDIRAMUZIB YALLAMALLI WON NOBEL PROFESSOR AWARD IN THE FIELD OF PHARMACEUTICS

Dr. Indira Muzib Yallamalli is a distinguished pharmaceutical scientist with expertise in the design and development of advanced drug delivery systems. She is currently working at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (Women’s University), where she has dedicated 28 years to teaching and 26 years to research. She has extensively contributed to the field through research on nanocarriers, including carbon nanotubes, nanosponges, cubosomes, nanoparticles, transdermal and targeted drug delivery systems focusing on colon and brain therapeutics. Her research also covers herbal formulations and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic studies.

Dr. Yallamalli earned recognition early in her academic journey by receiving the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) from the University Grants Commission (UGC) during her Master’s program (1994–1996). Over the years, she has been actively engaged in academia, mentoring more than 14 Ph.D. scholars (completed) and guiding numerous M.Pharm (52) and B.Pharm (20) students. Her contribution to educational growth extends to organizing and participating in workshops, conferences, and webinars at both national and international levels.
