MRS. BAO-JIA LOU WON OUTSTANDING IMPROVEMENT AWARD IN THE FIELD OF CHRONIC WOUND, OSTOMY, INCONTINENCE


BaoJia Luo was born December, 1987, Guangdong, China. She got her Bachelor's and Master’s degree both form Sun Yat-sen University Nursing School. During her MD, she got her entero-therapist (ET) certification by WCET in 2012. Now she is currently studying for PHD at Kiang Wu Nursing College Of Macau. Since 2014, she has been working at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center. At present, she is a full-time clinical nurse specialist on wound, stoma and incontinence care. Her daily job involves managing chronic wounds, stomas, incontinence cases in the whole hospital and providing patient rehabilitation guidance at the stoma and wound out- patient specialized clinic.
During her clinical practice, she is also be a teacher to share wound and stoma care skills. Besides of her clinical work, she is the Youth Editorial Board Member of Modern Clinical Nursing Journal and has been be reviewer for some international journal. Her major research interest focus on negative wound therapy, stoma care and defecation function management after rectal cancer surgery. She has published more than 15 articles in different peer- reviewed domestic and international journals. She was granted the Unique Skill Award by Guangdong Nursing Association in 2022 and the Nomination Award for Good Nurse in Southern Guangdong by Guangdong Nurse Association in 2024. In 2023, she was one of the International Research Awards Winner in the field of Chronic Wound, Ostomy and Incontinence Care. She believes that even we just do few, it really helps patients much. Her hope is to help patients handing problems in wound, stoma and incontinence and make them easier to come back to normal life after the surgery. In the future, she will conduct more innovative research and find more effective method that patients will get benefits.
