Dr. Ayyanadar Arunachalam serves as the Director of the Central Agroforestry Research Institute (CAFRI) under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. With over 31 years of experience in applied sciences, forestry, technology, and management, and 14 years in agricultural research and development, Dr. Arunachalam has significantly contributed to institutional and scientific advancements. His career includes roles as Assistant Director General (International Relations) at ICAR and Principal Scientist in multiple capacities within the organization.

He has been an academic leader, holding adjunct and honorary professor positions at esteemed institutions such as Amity University, Doon University, and Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, USA.
