DR. RAJASHREE BOTHALE WON ICONIC WOMEN SCIENTIST AWARD IN THE FIELD OF EARTH & CLIMATE SCIENCES AREA


Dr. Rajashree Bothale is a distinguished scientist with over 37 years of experience in Earth Observation and Geospatial Technology. As Deputy Director at the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), ISRO, she has played a pivotal role in advancing remote sensing, GIS applications, and natural resource management. Her expertise spans water resources, cryosphere studies, climate change, urban planning, and environmental monitoring.

She has been instrumental in conceptualizing and managing national and regional projects, including her leadership roles in National Information System for Climate and Environment Services (NICES) and India-WRIS. Her contributions extend to international outreach, having served as an ITEC expert in Mauritius and participated in the 35th Indian Scientific Expedition to Antarctica.
