Dr. Geetha Bhasker is a Senior Professor in the Department of English at Bangalore University, where she has been teaching for 37 years. She has served as the Chairperson of the Department for nearly six years and has also been the Chief Warden of the University Ladies Hostel for four years. She holds a postgraduate degree in English from Bangalore University and a Post Graduate Diploma in the Teaching of English from the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, where she won the Natesan Krishnaswamy Endowment Prize. She earned her PhD in English from Bangalore University for her interdisciplinary research on discourse analysis in legal language. She also holds a Diplôme Supérieur in French and a certificate in German.
