Dr. Dipanwita Chakraborty is a dynamic and dedicated scholar with expertise in agricultural economics, gender and development, climate change, and rural livelihoods. She holds a Ph.D. from the Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore, with her thesis focusing on “Social Protection and Rural Economy in the Context of MGNREGS”.
She has completed a post-doctorate on “Changing Dynamics of Gender in Agriculture and Women Empowerment” at Giri Institute of Development Studies (GIDS), where she is currently serving as Senior Consultant and Co-Project Director for various ICSSR-funded national research projects.
Her academic journey includes tenures as Research Assistant and Research Associate at ADRTC, ISEC, and she continues to contribute through research, publications, and active involvement in teaching and consultancy.
