Dr. Akila E is currently serving as an Associate Professor in Pharmacognosy at the Department of Pharmacy, Al-Ameen College of Pharmacy, Bangalore, India. With over 12 years of academic experience and 8 years of dedicated research experience, she has established herself as a promising researcher and mentor in the field of pharmacognosy, herbal formulations, and nanomedicine.
Her doctoral research focused on “Preparation, Characterization and Screening of Gold and Silver Nanoparticles Using Phenolic Rich Fractions of Buchanania lanzan Spreng. and Amaranthus gangeticus L. for Antioxidant, Anti-Cancer and Anti-Diabetic Activities”, which significantly contributed to the development of plant-mediated nanotechnology for therapeutic applications.
